Migrant, Civil and Human Rights Organizations

Several agencies and foundations have been formed so that they can help keep the rights of the people. The agencies are all over the world in all countries though some governments treat them in an unfriendly way. Individuals who are vulnerable should be taken care of like the immigrants.

The poor also need to be remembered. Fighting for their rights and fair treatment is necessary, and the Organization of American States (OAS) has come together with other groups so as to fight for the human rights.

OAS has in itself merged with other like-minded organizations to protect people. They advocate for the proper immigrant treatment and human rights in general in the USA. OAS gives the migrants connections to real jobs that will provide them with quality life since they need to stabilize in the host country. When the migrants are faced with problems, they are helped to get other destinations that will welcome them.

People who benefit from the OAS are going to be hopeful and can help other immigrants settle down too. They will be voicing the predicaments of fellow migrants in the society and the well-being of individuals so that they cannot be abused.

The ones who are working need protection from labor rights firms so that they are not overworked.

Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund is another agency helping and promoting the rights of the migrants. The company is owned and managed by Phoenix New Times and Village Voice Media. Their money is dedicated to assisting the migrants in society. Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey filed a suit against the Sheriff of Maricopa County Joe Arpiao, and the settlement granted them a lot of money. Migrants in Arizona are going to be helped in the problems that they face.

Arpiao arrested journalists at night as they were with their families at home. They were jailed for revealing evidence of grand jury proceedings that were looking into the reporter’s notes where they had covered the Maricopa sheriff.

In the jury subpoenas, they needed the identity of the people who went through the New Times articles on their site. Arpiao was then sued because he had treated the journalists poorly and that is why Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey, two bosses, came up with the right initiative. They are making big efforts to defend the First Amendment and are making significant strides.

With the money, they are going to support groups that protect civil, migrant and human rights provided the teams will be sharing the same dream as the Larkin and Lacey Frontera Fund. They will need to uphold the freedom of speech and civic participation in Arizona.

Both organizations, OAS and Larkin and Lacey Frontera Fund are in the lead in working with the governments so as to find solutions to problems that face migrants. Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey also work with international organizations like UN to see how they can be of help to the immigrants.

Lacey & Larkin: Sheriff Joe Arpiao

In May 2013, Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey, the former owners and journalist of Village Voice Media, have won their lawsuit against the Maricopa County, Arizona, sheriff Joe Arpaio. The county had paid them over $3.7 million to settle after the U.S. Ninth Court of Appeals ruled that the two were held against their will by the ex-sheriff and arrested without probable cause. The journalist used some of the settlement money to create the Larkin and Lacey Frontera Fund that actively provides pro-Latino and pro-migrant rights organizations with generous grants. The Frontera Fund also provides legal support for Hispanic and Latinos that were falsely arrested within the state of Arizona. Larkin and Lacey have given charitable support towards these communities after having enough of hearing stories of racial profiling and false arrests made by Arizona’s law enforcement and officials, including ex-sheriff Arpaio.

Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey have joined the world of journalism again and launched the Front Page Confidential, a pro-free speech online news site that advocates First Amendment rights. The Front Page Confidential has covered stories involving our nation’s politics, current policies and more. They hope to continue their efforts towards protecting the freedom of speech for our country with their online journalism. On the site, they have exposed Joe Arpaio for his discrimination against the Latino-American community in Arizona and have shown displeasure of his recent run for the U.S. Senate in 2018.

Representatives that are vagrants will be perceived as individuals from society, and their supervisors need to remunerate them similarly like kindred associates. It will influence the organization to succeed as well. That is a very good way for help research paper to make these things work for a long time which is an easy thing to do too and it makes complete sense.
